Want to try a cake recipe which is not the usual ones we always have. Try this, will turn out to be super easy, tasty, and yummy recipe. It is an eggless recipe.

Ingredients
  

For sugar syrup

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder

For the dough

  • cups All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Milk powder
  • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1/2 cup Milk

For Frying

  • Oil as needed
  • 1 tbsp Ghee

Instructions
 

  • Sift together the all-purpose flour, milk powder, salt, and baking soda
  • Add the cardamom powder, sugar, and ghee
  • Mix well
  • Add milk to it and mix it with a spoon
  • Then knead with hands.
  • It will be sticky at first, so keep dusting hands with flour while kneading
  • Once kneaded into ab big dough, take small portions of it and make it into small balls or into oval-shaped ones with half-inch thickness

Preparing the Sugar syrup

  • Into a hard base cookware kept on medium flame, pour water, sugar, and cardamom powder
  • Then let the sugar dissolve and the water boil
  • Once boiled, reduce the flame to low and let it cook for 15mins or just until it starts sticking to hands when touched
  • Should not wait until it reaches 1 string consistency
  • Take it off the stove just before that stage or starts sticky to hands
  • The syrup will thicken after sometime.

For frying

  • Place a pan with enough oil, pour ghee also to it
  • Once the oil gets hot, fry the small dough portions in medium to low flame for about 7-8mins
  • The take it off and fry all the dough portions like this
  • Once fried, put that in the warm sugar syrup and let it be there for around 6-7hrs
  • Yummy Fried milk cakes are ready

Notes

If you do not want the sugar syrup, you could skip that stage, the cake is just awesome as it the fried way without soaking in sugar. 
The time for soaking is preferable, but if you not have that much patience, then have it straight away, just as I did. Honestly, i do not have that much patience. 😬
Frying the cake for 7-8mins on low flame is needed as otherwise the inside will not be cooked well.
