Ingredients
  

for the samosa filling

  • 300 gms Chicken Cut and grounded in a mixie or food processor
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds Jeera
  • 1 Big Onion chopped into small pieces
  • 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
  • 3 Green chillies chopped into pieces
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbsp Chili powder
  • tsp Garam masala
  • Salt To taste
  • ¼ tsp Seasonings Optional
  • ¼ cup Cilantro

For the samosa covering

  • 1 cup Whole wheat flour atta
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds (optional)
  • Water as required for kneading the dough
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil

For frying

  • Vegetable oil As required for frying

Instructions
 

Preparing the Dough

  • Sift the whole wheat flour and salt together
  • Make a little space in between the flour, put the cumin seeds, pour a little water, and oil
  • Keep adding water a little by little and knead the dough until you get perfect size ball without any of the flour sticking onto the hands
  • Cover it with a wet towel or tissue to prevent it from drying
  • Keep it aside until the filling is ready

Preparing the Filling

  • Into a skillet on medium flame, pour coconut oil
  • When the oil is hot, put the cumin seeds
  • Once it starts spluttering, put in the chopped onion and stir it.
  • Then put green chilies and ginger garlic paste, stir it until sauteed
  • Add the powders: turmeric powder, chili powder, and garam masala
  • Stir everything until the raw smell of the masalas fade
  • Then add the grounded chicken, and salt
  • Combine everything well
  • Put cilantro, and again stir everything well
  • Keep it closed, and cook for 10mts, stirring intermittently
  • After 10mts, the samosa fillings will be ready

Making the samosa

  • Take the dough, and make small balls out of it
  • With a rolling pin, roll it out into a small tortilla or roti size
  • After rolling, cut it into half.
  • Make cone with each half
  • Place the samosa filling and close by pressing the tips
  • Place it on a dry plate
  • Do the same with all the dough balls

Fryting time

  • Take enough oil for frying in a wok
  • Once the oil is hot, put the samosas
  • Fry until it turns golden/slight brown, flipping halfway through
  • Fish it out of the oil and place it on a plate with kitchen tissues
