Ingredients list   

Chicken – 230gms    

Heavy Cream – 1/2cup

Dried basil leaves- 1 and 1/2tbsps

Olive Oil – 2tbsps   

Garlic – 4 big cloves (chopped into small pieces)      

Onion –1 big (cut into small cube pieces)   

Green chillies – 3-4     

Tomato –2 small (cut into small cube pieces)

Carrot – 1 (chopped into long slice pieces)   

Spinach – a handful     

Kashmiri chilli powder- 1tsp       

Black pepper – 1/2tbsp (freshly crushed)      

Salt – to taste

Warm water– 1/2cup


Direction

1.  Cut the chicken into small pieces

2. Add olive oil onto a pan, when warm add the garlic pieces.

3. Add chopped onion (small pieces), green chillies and stir well.

4.   To it add tomato chopped tomato.

5.   Once it is half done, drop in the chicken pieces, and stir well.

6.   When the chicken pieces turn slight white in color, add the carrot pieces and spinach.

7.   Stir everything well, cover and cook for 5mts.

8.   After that, open and stir.

9.   Put Kashmiri chilli powder, add salt and black pepper. Mix well.

10. Pour in warm water and cook for 20mts on low flame.

11. After the chicken is cooked, drop dried basil leaves to it and stir well.

12. Cover and cook again for 10mts

13. Then, pour the heavy cream into the curry, mix well and let boil.


Yummy Creamy Basil Chicken Curry is ready!!


Serve it with waffles, bread, appam or even as a sauce to add in pasta.
