Want to make a yummy Chilli beef recipe that would be just like the one that we get from restaurants? Try this recipe. It is so awesome, I'm sure you would love this and make again.

Equipment

  • Pressure Cooker
  • Skillet

Ingredients
  

For cooking Beef

  • 300 gms Beef Cut into small cubes
  • Salt
  • 2 tsp Soya Sauce
  • 3/4 cup Water

For the gravy/sauce

  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp Ginger chopped
  • 1 tsp Garlic chopped
  • 2 or 3 Green Chilies chopped
  • 1 cup Onion chopped into medium cubes
  • 1 cup Capsicum chopped into medium cubes
  • Salt
  • tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1 tbsp Soya sauce
  • 2 tsp Chili sauce
  • 2 tbsp Tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch Slurry (1tbsp corn starch +1/4cup water)
  • 1 pinch Sugar

Instructions
 

Cooking the beef

  • Into a pressure cooker, drop the cubed beef pieces
  • Add salt and soya sauce and water
  • Stir and close the cooker
  • Cook until 6-7 whistles or until cooked

Preparing the gravy

  • Into a skillet on medium flame to high flame, pour the sesame oil and vegetable oil
  • Once the oil is hot, put the chopped ginger, garlic, and green chilies
  • Stir for 2-3mins
  • Put the chopped Onions and stir for 2mins
  • Drop the chopped capsicum and stir until the edges turn slightly brown
  • Add to it Salt, Chili powder, and Pepper powder
  • Stir for another 2 or 3mins
  • To this drop the cooked beef along with the gravy
  • Once the gravy starts heated up, pour the corn starch slurry
  • Stir and let it boil until the desired consistency is reached
  • Add a pinch of sugar and stir once more
  • Take it off the stove
  • Yummy Chilli Beef is ready

Notes

The beef in the cooker should be cooked in 6-7mins, but it may vary depending on the meat portion. If it is not cooked according to your taste, then close and cook for another 2 whistles. 
This recipe is given to me by my best friend. Thanks to her, as it turned out to be super easy and yummy too. The taste reminded me of one of the restaurants we both used to go to have Kerala Porotta and Chili Beef, while we were in College…
