Here comes an awesome recipe with spinach and potato. Especially for those who do not like the taste of Spinach (like me 😬), try this one you would definitely love this one and would ask for more for sure.

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz Spinach Chopped
  • 2 big Potatoes Cut into long slices, Boiled in water with salt , drained and kept aside
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard seeds
  • Salt

For the Coconut mix

  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 cup Coconut Shredded
  • 2 Shallots
  • 3 Glarlic cloves
  • 5-6 Green Chilies
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder

Instructions
 

The Coconut mix

  • Into a blender, put cumin seeds, shallots, green chilies, garlic, shredded coconut, and turmeric powder
  • Give it a pulse and crush it and do not make it a paste form

Making of Thoran

  • Into a pan, pour coconut oil, once the oil turns hot, put the mustard seeds and let it splutter
  • Then to it put the chopped spinach, and salt
  • On HIGH FLAME, Gently stir let the spinach reduce its size by leaving water
  • And Let the water boil and reduce to half
  • This would take 5-8mins
  • Then once the water has reduced to half, put the coconut mix
  • Mix well into the spinach and let it cook for 5-6mis
  • After that put the boiled potatoes
  • Mix well without breaking the potato pieces
  • After five minutes or when the water is completely gone, switch off the stove
  • Yummy Spinach Potato Thoran is ready..

This is such an amazing recipe. I never liked eating spinach and so my girls, it is when I tried putting potatoes to it and the result was awesome. They also love this thoran.
Have it with steaming rice and curd. Wow!! Awesome.😃😋..
