Pre-heat the oven to 350degrees Fahrenheit/180degree Celsius
Into a bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt
Into another bowl put the butter and beat it for 2 mins on medium speed
Then add the sugar to the butter and beat until creamy
Once it is beaten, add the eggs and beat until well combined
Then to it add the Lemon Zest(take only the outermost layer of the lemon, otherwise cake would become tangy)
Mix well
Then add the sifted dry ingredients and buttermilk alternatively in three batches
Mix well
Once mixed well add the Vanilla extract and the lemon juice
Mix everything once more for 5min
Cake batter is ready
Move the cake batter to two 9" inch round pans equally
Bake the cake in the oven for 30min or just until the toothpick comes out clean
