Preheat the oven to 355degrees fahrenheit or 180 degree Celsius
Into a bowl, sift together all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
Keep it aside
Into a mixing bowl, put the butter and beat under soft
Then to it add the sugar to the beaten butter and beat until well mixed and creamy
Add the eggs and beat well
Once well mixed add the lemon zest and mix
Then add the sifted dry ingredients and the buttermilk alternatively in three batches
And mixing after each addition
Once everything is mixed well, add the lemon juice and the vanilla extract
Using a spatula scrape down all the sides and mix for 3-4mins
To the mix add the sprinkles and mix well with the spatula, do not use the mixer for this step
Move the batter to three 6 inches pans lined with parchment paper
2 cups of batter in each of the pans
Bake for 40-45mins or until the tester comes out clean
Move to the wired rack and let it cool
