Into the pan kept on medium flame, pour vegetable oil and heat it
Once the oil turns hot, put the whole spices: fennel seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves and stir for a few seconds
Then add the chopped onions and stir until the onions turn translucent.
Add the marinated chicken and the marinade(if any)
Stir well
Add salt and warm water and stir well
Close and cook for 30 mins
Stir intermittently
After 30mins, if there is a lot of gravy, cook for a few minutes until the gravy is reduced or upto your desired consistency.
