Into a pan or wok kept on medium flame, pour the vegetable oil
When the oil turns hot, add the cloves, cardamom, and fennel seeds
Once it splutter, add the chopped onions and stir for 3 mins
Then add the grated ginger -garlic and stir for another 2 mins
Once the raw smell of the garlic and ginger fades, add the rest of the masala powder kept aside.
While adding the masala, always add according to your spice level.
Stir the masala powder to the sauted onion
Then to it add the marinated chicken, and stir well
Pour the warm water and stir well
Add salt to taste
Close and cook for 25- 30 mins on medium to low flame, stirring intermittently
After 30 mins, stir the chicken and add the cut tomatoes and cilantro into it and stir well
Let boil for another 3-4 mins
Then switch off the flame
